Our partner in El Salvador is Glasswing.org is a non-profit organization in Central America that provides education and leadership programs. For girls in El Salvador, the school day ends at noon so after-school programs are a great place for them to stay safe, learn more, and have fun.
In March 2014, I traveled with a few friends to El Salvador to meet and learn more about some very courageous girls. We were able to see first-hand how things can be turned around and go RIGHT.

You helped in a BIG way!
You paid for 500 lbs of school and art supplies, sports gear, books and much more.
You also made a donation to Glasswing
so that they can run more programs
that keep girls safe and in school.
Here's What We Did
We delivered your DONATIONS to El Salvador.
We helped fix-up a 3 room school that serves 250 kids in the coffee highlands of Santa Ana.
With the help of GLASSWING.ORG we hosted a workshop using THE MAX WARBURG COURAGE CURRICULUM that empowered girls to discover, then recognize, the role of courage in the lives of those around them, and in their own lives – past, present and future.
What Is The Courage Class Exactly?
We brought the Max Warburg Courage Curriculum materials plus a few friends (like Florence and her Mom) who speak a little better Spanish than I do! We learned together and discovered the courage these girls have demonstrated in their lives. The essays they wrote describing their personal experiences with courage will be included in the 2014 Max Warburg National Essay Contest.

What ELSE Did You Do?
We also helped fix up a rural public school. Since the buildings are often in bad condition this means an "extreme makeover" is needed. You can see what happens HERE.
